In anticipation of what is sure to be one of the best Cougar/GSE seasons
for both growth and development,
we have added some tools to help us achieve each player's maximum potential.
It starts with coaching, and we feel we have the best guy for the job at
every age group this season.
Alex Awuy will continue to ensure the acceleration of the MITE program,
at a pace never seen before.
He and Ryan Chu-Tachikawa have been an integral part of the huge growth of the program
and players, and another great year is coming from them.
Ryan will ensure the proper development of the SQUIRT age players,
and Gregg Rodriguez moves from SQUIRT to PEE WEE, to focus on maximum
PEE WEE player development.
Vince Kilduff is a hungry and dedicated young coach who brings a renewed
energy into the 16 group. With Mario Morrissette helping to guide the practice
plans for these teams, we have a foundation that is hard to compete with.
In addition to painting the ice, the construction of the Hockey X-Training
facility will bring an extra level of excitement, motivation and most
importantly, development.
The extra puck touches, power skating, goalie training, and video review
the X-Training facility will provide our players,
will allow them an accelerated level of development.
The outcome is yet to be determined, but we feel our players will have
the opportunity to develop at a level and pace that has not been
previously offered in Northern CA.
