The other Peewee AA teams originally signed up to play did not commit in the end, so the boys played four exhibition games against A level squads. Play was sharp all around, and the team had three shutouts in four games. Results showed that the team was probably a "tweener" this season - one that struggled at AA but would likely have experienced lopsided games in their favor against A level competition.
Anaheim came out physical in Game 3, but the Cougars matched their checks from the start and then took control with superior skill. In the final analysis, the Cougars dominated throughout against the eventual A tournament champions.
