Capital Thunder AA 9, Cougars 99AA 4

November 21, 2010

The Cougars 99AA team started strong last weekend, opening a 2-1 first period lead against the Capital Thunder, but they were outscored 5-1 in the second period and fell 9-4 in Roseville.

With a depleted bench again (one injury and two illnesses this time), the Cougars put up a valiant effort early. Shots were fairly even in the first, but a few stretch passes led to breakaways that caught up with the Cougars. There is no quit in the team, however. After a tough second period, the boys kept their heads up and skated closely with the Roseville squad in Period 3. They look forward to a full squad for the rematch at Vallco in early December.
