This is the 4th meeting to these two teams this season including tournament and exhibition games. The Cougars got the scoring started in the 1st period with Stanton Turner's goal with assists to Brennan Kurtela & Matt Gee. In the 2nd period Ryan Lung scores with Stanton Turner getting the assist. The Cougars enjoyed a 2-0 lead midway through the second period before th Jr. Sharks #88 James Lopez scores to end the second period. 2-1 Cougars. With 2:46 left in the third period #88 scores an unassisted shorthanded goal to tie the game 2-2 at the end of regulation.
At the end of the game the Junior Sharks celebrated like they won the game and the Cougars celebrated like they lost the game. Goalie Mario Retana made 42 saves while the Cougars had 30 shots on goal. Cougars has 5 penalties, Jr. Sharks had 8 penalties.
