October 25, 2008 Game 2
Game Two was an exciting rematch of the Cougars vs So. Cal Titans. In the previous meeting the Cougars won in a shootout at the Sharks Labor Day Tournament. This meeting was different as the Titans came out early with a 2-0 lead. Then Cougars Brennan Kurtela scored before the Titans scored again. Titans now led 3-1. Cougars Chris West scores to end the second period Titans leading 3-2. Three unanswered goals were scored in the third period by Turner, Niday & Kurtela. The Titans scored late in the third period making the score 5-4 Cougars. After making 13 saves, Mario Retana was replaced by Connor Lung following a melee at the net. With less than two minutes remaining in the game Connor made the saves necessary to preserve the 5-4 win.
