The Cougars played well as a team against the Oakland Bears. Oakland came out early to score first. The Cougars came back just as quickly as Garan scored with assist by Thomas. The Bears scored again, which was followed again by a score by the Cougars, as Joey took the goal shot with assist by Tyler. The game was tied, 2-2, but then the Bears scored two goals within less than a minute of each other to end the period 4-2. In the second period, the Bears scored early again. Much of the second period was spent in the Bears end and the Garan scored with an assist by Dustin with about a minute remaining in the second period to end the period 5-3. There was excitement on the bench when the referees indicated another goal by the Cougars, but it was deemed the whistle blew before the goal. In the third period, Alex took a slash and went down on his bad chin and was out for a while, but returned to finish the game. Oakland scored 2 more points to end the game 7-3. Jacob took 15 shots on goal with 5 scored and David took 11 shots on goal with 2 scored. The Cougars took more shots on goal than the Bears (34 vs 26) and there was a lot of action in the game.
