Great way to start the series.

You came out hard and played a fast, exciting game.

This one ricocheted back and forth, with Santa Clara scoring first. Late in the first period, Donovan Watt and Brandon Shore combined their efforts. They got it down low, and Kevin Kiaski put it in. The resulting 1-1 tie held until late in the second.

Again, Santa Clara's efforts payoff first. But Brandon Shore found Max DeLance 43 seconds later, and Max found the back of the net. Cougars are tied 2-2 at the end of the period.

The third period brought more excitement as Santa Clara scored at 9:46 on the clock. Zefan Hurley came back unassisted 13 seconds later and tied it back up. The resulting score holds thru the end of the game.
