Our second game was at 4:15 pm against the Fresno Falcons. This game started terribly for us: 8 seconds to the game Fresno scored their first goal. But this was not enough: 13 seconds later the Falcons scored their second goal. This was like a repetition of last Sunday’s game when the same Fresno player scored three quick goals in the beginning of the first. Before Fresno scored their third goal later in the first period, Justin got to the board with our first goal assisted by Felix.

If we forget the first 21 seconds of the game, the rest of the first period was played quite evenly.

But, the second period brought two more goals for Fresno, one of them shorthanded, and only one goal for us. A Fresno player was penalized when 4.43 was left of the second and Justin scored on powerplay from a great pass by Tyler.

When the third period started, we were down 2:5 and there was only 12 more minutes to play in this game. Garan scored in the very beginning of the period 3:5. Before Justin scored unassisted our fourth goal (hat trick), Fresno got one more goal. We were down three goals, when there was only five more minutes to play. We were fighting and shooting and making things happen. First Garan scored assisted by Justin and Sebastian 7:5.

When 1:26 was left of the game, Will made it 7:6 assisted by Vanny and a couple of seconds later Garan tied the game 7:7. We kept the pressure on and tried to win the game, but ran out of time.

But, this time the tie seemed like a great victory. We played well and managed to come back and did not give up. If only we had managed to keep Fresno from scoring in the beginning of the game……

The players of the game were Vanny, Steven and Justin. After the game the whole team went on to the skills competition.
