The first drama took place before our first tournament game was about to start: Coaches Jeff and Sheldon were not allowed to the bench because of some mistake in the registration...We got over that and the players lined up to listen to the National Anthem. Our first game was against the Aliso Viejo Eagles#1 on Friday morning at 6:45.

There was a rumor amongst the parents that this team is "just an in-house team that should be easy for us to beat". Never trust the rumors! When we saw our opponent, we knew that the rumors were not quite right. This was actually a tournament team that was here to win - and they were very good.

In the first period Steven made some great saves but they were able to score their first goal. We had difficulties to get the puck away from our defensive zone and soon they got another goal. We put a little pressure on them but that was not enough. When the first period ended, the scoreboard showed 6 - 0 in their favor. It seemed our little guys were half asleep.

In the second period two Eagles players got a penalty and we had a five-on- three situation. Unfortunately it seemed as Eagles were having a power play rather than us. Our only goal in this game was a breakaway goal scored by Felix. In the second period, both teams scored one goal.

In the third period we had a few nice shots but were not able to score any goals. The final score was 9 - 1. In this game, our biggest mistakes were done in the first period. The second was tied and in the third we had several chances and only allowed them to score two goals. We saw some good hustling and great plays.

The players of the game were Felix, Spencer and Vanny.
