The Cougars played three full periods of hockey; refusing to be distracted by numerous Bears penalties, and are rewarded with a win.

The Cougars had 32 shots on goal, (7, 12, and 13); scoring 4 goals (1, 1, and 2); the Bears had 19 shots (7, 5, and 7); scoring 1 goal late in the first period.

Center Sam Brewer scored an unassisted goal in the first period, giving the Cougars a 1-0 lead. Left Wing Matan Geller, assisted by Sam Brewer and Right Wing Tyler Lewis, scored the second Cougars goal late in the second period, giving the Cougars a 2-1 lead. Center Connor Mesec scored an unassisted goal in the third period, widening the lead to 3-1. Sam Brewer scored the final goal of the game, unassisted, giving him 3 points for the day.

Goaltender Adam Scianna saved 18 shots, including a truly spectacular save towards the end of the game.
