The Cougars stuck to their game plan, playing three full periods; not letting up when falling behind; and were rewarded with a win. The Cougars outplayed, outskated, and outshot the Bulldogs, generating several scoring opportunities; all Cougar players played hard and smart, contributing to the win.

The Cougars had 17 shots on goal, (5, 2, and 10); scoring 3 goals; the Bulldogs had but 11 shots (3, 6, and 2); scoring 2.

Right Defenseman Cameron Giertych, scored an unassisted goal late in the first period to even the score at 1-1. Center Sam Brewer, assisted by Right Wing Tyler Lewis, scored the second Cougars goal late in the third period, to tie the score at 2-2. Center Brendan Wright, assisted by Cameron Giertych, scored the final goal of the game, placing the Cougars permanently in front 3-2.

Goaltender Adam Scianna saved 9 shots.
