B's Lose Last Chance For NorCal

With Tri-Valley gaining a tie from Santa Rosa, our opportunity to gain a birth in NorCal was slim but still alive.  With the hard fought loss in Berkeley, our players will now need to focus on a strong finish in the standings for NorCal PeeWee B's.

Simone Saccani was the undisputed star of the game, turning back 20 shots from the Bulldogs while keeping us in the game until well into the 3rd period when a turnover cost us a goal.  Defense and neutral zone play kept either team from mounting a formidable offensive push.  It is hard to recall even one strong rush by either team that moved the puck up the ice to develop a clear scoring opportunity.

While there were some strong individual efforts, Berkeley kept our guys from getting organized enough on the ice to create some passing lanes.  Overall, a good defensive effort by both teams.

Let's get 'em ready for Oakland and Stockton.  We need a very strong finish to lift all of our spirits!

Welcome to the home page for the California Cougars Pee Wee B team.  Check back here often as the season progresses for team information, news, scores and just general happenings with the team.

The Cougars Pee Wee B team is coached by Jeff Moon.  Practice times for the season are Tuesday from 6:45pm to 8:00pm (power skating), Wednesday from 8:05pm to 6:15pm (solo), and Friday from 6:45pm to 7:45pm (combined with Squirt team).  Tuesday and Friday practices are at Belmont and Wednesday is at Vallco.
