The Cougars stomped the Ontario Senators today 6-3 to win the California State Bantam A title. This came
after some very nervous moments just waiting to see if they qualified for the the championship game. Their
loss in the opening game against these same Senators almost was their undoing, but a solid victory (7-1) over
rival Capital Thunder put them right back in the hunt. The goal differential was critical as the Capital
Thunder beat Ontario in the last qualifying game. The three teams all had 2-1 records, but with all the
tiebreakers, the Cougars wound up seeded first and never looked back.
Cougars Finish 3rd in NORCAL Playoffs
Still Qualify for CAHA Championships

The Cougars stay in the NORCAL playoffs ended today with a disappointing 4-3 loss to the High Sierra Wild in
the final qualification game of the NORCAL playoffs. A win in today's game would have qualified the Cougars
for the Championship game against the Capital Thunder. BUT as High Sierra cannot participate in the
California State Championships next month (Apr. 11-13), the Cougars qualified. Good luck in El Segundo!
