(Jan. 9)  PLAYERS - I sure hope all of you paid attention to the last game. There is no reason for us to tie a game when we score seven goals. I need you all to support the puck for this team to be successful.

Defensemen - When you back up into the zone as the opponents are crossing the blue line, you are screening our goalies and allowing good shots to come from the point. You all need to step into the play and take the body. Slow him down. Disrupt the play. Move him off the puck. Forwards - All of you need to step it up and get back quicker to help out on defense. Any good team will score on us if we give them odd-man rushes. Hustle back.

Two-way play is what I'm looking for. I'll say it again - support the puck. We have a lot of work to do to for this team to be as good as it can be. Let's stay FOCUSED on the games ahead and continue to improve as a team.

We'll work on this in drills over the next few weeks but if still don't understand what is expected of you - ask.
