**2002-03 Season Information Released**

All the necessary information for you to plan for the upcoming tryouts and for next season is available at californiacougars.org. There's a new webmaster for the main Cougars page (guess who). Check it out. You might even recognize some of the kids in the pictures on the main page. Let me know if there is anything else you can think of to add to the site.

Upcoming Cougar Activities

There's also plenty of skating opportunities this spring/summer to stay in shape and to get ready for next season. The main one for Cougars players is the "Cougars Summer Skate" program. This will run every Wednesday from May 8th to July 31st. Squirts and Pee Wees are skating together from 6:55-9:05. This includes players moving from Pee Wee to Bantam next season. Cost is $150 for the 13 week program. Participation is limited to a non-specified number - first come, first served. Sign up on your next visit to the Ice Center of Cupertino (formerly the Vallco Ice Chalet) or call the Ice Center at 408-446-2906 for more information. (Note: this does not include the fees for the Cougars tryouts in August.)

If That's Not Enough To Keep Players Busy.....

Logitech Ice also has some good activities and they are not limited just to Jr. Sharks members. These include a variety of spring and summer programs being offered to help players improve their skills and stay in shape. Programs include a Spring Practice program for Travel & Tier players, 3-on-3 Youth Drop-In Hockey, a Summer Goalie Clinic, a Spring/Summer Hockey League for Mini-Mites through Bantams, and a series of Tryout Tune-Up Clinics to shake off the rust before tryouts. Use these links to view flyers covering each program. Please direct any questions to the Logitech Ice hockey staff.

If anyone else knows of good hockey events for the spring/summer, let me know and I'll post them here for everyone.
