Dave Guy
Head Coach
I was born in Adelaide, South Australia, and moved to California when I was
one. I began skating at 6 years old, and moved to ice hockey at 7 with the
Santa Clara Blackhawks. After playing youth hockey, I began playing club
hockey for University of Southern California, and San Jose State. I began
coaching when I was 16, and have coached for 12 years. I currently use my
other main interest, motorcycle racing, to make a living selling motorcycles.
I work at Bike World in Sunnyvale, and race throughout California.

"I hope to teach the players the skills and benefits
that I have learned in hockey, hard work and dedication can accomplish
anything."

I was born in Fayetville North Carolina and moved to California when I was five. I began figure skating when I was eight years old but quickly switched to hockey skates. I never played on any teams as a youth but skated at least four times a week. I learned to play hockey while working at the Winter Lodge in Palo Alto in 1993. I learned the game from watching the game, watching other people, and asking a lot of questions. Currently I play A level with the Ice Chalet team in San Mateo. I also am a level 3 official with IHONC (Ice Hockey Officials of Northern California). My full time job is Director of Security at Westfield Shoppingtown Oakridge.
